Story boarding

We are in process of making a story board and brainstorming plot. We really want to emphasize on deciding what is the goal of this story? What do you want kids to take away from this. Which today we decide that our main topic will be about ocean pollution. Because it is something that are increasing contributing to pollution of our environment and global warming and it is important for new generation of children to learn how to protect the world that will soon be their.

Jonathan's Drafts

Hope you enjoy the story
Hello, It's me, Jonathan! I just wanted to share with you the drafts I did for the story. I'll be honest, I missed some of the memos, so my drafts, as of writing this, differ greatly from the story concepts described in an earlier post. Below is the link to my drafts, which will be ever expanding as I think of ideas. Hope you enjoy!

Story Concepts

Today we had to start going over we're going to put this story fully together. Our main inspiration going into this is an anime called Princess Jellyfish which is about a Hikkiamori name Tsukimi who finds comfort in drawing jellyfish and slowly starts to come out of her shell. Tsukimi's character in general is really appealing because she has the kind of personality that a lot of people can relate to but what we really liked was her talking jellyfish named Clara. We thought it'd be fun to incorporate a jellyfish in our story because Clara was such an entertaining yet cute character and we figured that type of thing would fit in really well for kids.

We have a character in mind we're just working out details about the story though. We wanted the story, on basic terms, to be about a girl who's a little bit of an outcast and can't seem to find her place in the world so she locks herself away in her room to read book after book. Finding herself awfully lonely she builds herself a jellyfish robot to act as her friend- the robot being a jellyfish because her family comes from marine biologist. Also so we can fit in STEM we'll be discussing basics of robotics and jellyfish anatomy though that itself is the basic story.

Day 2: Character design inprogress

Today Kaylin have complete a few character prototype

We all think it a great ideas to go with a cute little chibi character would appeal most to little kid due to their doll like cuteness. We decided that the the first option was a great because the hair and the outfit are more child like while the second one came off as a more fancy princess type and I think that it best to choose something that children and most relate to.

We decided for a name for her today which we going to go with the name of the moon jellyfish, which is Aurelia and my little robot buddy name is most liking going to be palmo.

Here we are sampling outfit color as Kaylin said she want to go with "Ethereal purple and blue"

Here is Ayanna drawing friendly jellyfish ^ - ^

Day: 1 The Beginning

Today our team got together to discuss the ideas for our story. We all decide on the theme of the main character which is going to be about a girl who love jellyfish as we are inspire by an anime called "Princess Jellyfish". We look up some outfit inspiration and talk about the rules and detail today.

Since our member was really excited about the character design we talk about the clothing style of our character. Since we are all anime fan, we looking to draw our characters in "anime style" Since her character inspiration will be a jelly fish we start to look at jelly fish inspire design. We think we are going to make her dress to resemble a jelly fish.

We also briefly go over the art style we should use. We think it would be a good idea to good with soft, pastel, watercolor style that she have see in one of the book we seen.

Next time we meet, I will bring in the book so everyone can take a look at the art style.
